We want you to be fully aware of your financial obligations before enrolling as a student at Birmingham. This page provides information on obtaining financial assistance and other costs associated with MBA study so that you can plan your finances from the start.

MBA applicants can apply for scholarships.

Full-time MBA scholarships

We have a number of scholarships available for students enrolled in our 12-month full-time MBA programs, which provide a financial contribution toward tuition. Assessment will take place through a separate application process open only to offer holders for the Birmingham MBA 12 month full-time programs for entry in 2022/23.

You must fill out our online scholarship application form, which will be emailed to you shortly after you receive an offer from the University of Birmingham for a 12-month full-time MBA program. Please thoroughly read the instructions in that email and on the application form before submitting it. You will not be considered for one of our MBA programs if you do not complete the application form using the link in the email.

The MBA scholarship application must be completely filled out and submitted by the deadlines listed below. Please keep in mind that scholarship applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so apply as soon as possible.

  • MBA Scholarship at Birmingham Business School: Friday, June 3, 2022
  • African MBA Scholarship: March 4, 2022
  • Claire and Sean Henry Scholarship (India): March 4, 2022

Business School Scholarships: Common Application Requirements

Following are the common application requirements for MBA scholarships derived from the entries below:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • GPA from undergraduate program(s) of at least 3.0
  • An in-person or video interview is preferred.
  • A personal objective statement
  • Recommendation letters
  • Reports on GMAT or GRE scores (maybe optional)
  • Proof of US citizenship or permanent residency in the US

Full-Ride MBA Scholarships for Specific Schools

Arizona State University W. P. Carey Forward Focus MBA Scholarship

  • Amount: Up to full resident tuition of $59,794 per year
  • Deadline: Same as admissions deadline
  • Who Should Apply: Arizona State University MBA candidates

University of Florida Warrington College of Business

  • Amount: Full-time in-state or out-of-state tuition and fees for the credits required in the MBA degree program
  • Deadline: Round 1 (Oct. 15, 2021); International Applicants (Oct. 15, 2021); Round 2 (Jan. 15, 2022); Round 3 (May 15, 2022)
  • Who Should Apply: University of Florida Full-Time MBA Applicants

University of Chicago Booth School of Business

  • Amount: Up to full annual tuition with additional awards potentially reimbursing annual costs
  • Deadline: Same as admissions deadline
  • Who Should Apply: University of Chicago MBA candidates
